Revers exceptionnel, frappé sur un flan d'un diamètre inférieur à celui du coin. Avers avec un peu plus de frai. Cassure de coin entre l'œil et la ligne supérieure

Titolatura diritto : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Descrittivo diritto : Tête à gauche, résumée à un œil triangulaire, accosté d'une ligne de zigzag, et surmonté de trois gros globules.
Rovescio
Titolatura rovescio : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Descrittivo rovescio : Cheval bondissant à gauche, un V pointé et entouré d'un cordon perlé. Un annelet pointé et encerclé d'un cordon perlé entre les jambes. Un astre (?) derrière la jambe arrière. Un petit annelet et un cordon perlé en guise de rène devant le poitrail.
Commento
Ce statère est exceptionnel par l’orientation de l'œil ; tous les exemplaires sont tournés vers la droite ; il semble que ce soit le premier à être tourné à gauche. Semble être complètement inédit et manquer à tous les musées consultés et aux ouvrages de référence tels que le Traité de S. Scheers ou le "Nouvel atlas" de L.-P. Delestrée.

I Treveri erano una tribù molto importante della Gallia belga che controllava entrambe le sponde della Mosella. I loro vicini erano gli Atuatuci, gli Eburoni, i Remi ei Mediomatrici. Il loro oppidum principale era a Titelberg (Lussemburgo). La loro capitale era Treviri che fu rifondata da Augusto come Colonia Augusta Treverorum. Questa tribù è spesso citata da Cesare. I Treveri presero parte alla Guerra in particolare nel 54, durante la rivolta di Ambiorige per tagliare le linee di Cesare dopo aver massacrato le truppe di Sabino e Cotta. I Treveri non sembrano aver inviato truppe di soccorso nel 52 a.C. Cesare (BG. I, 37; II, 24; III, 11; IV, 6, 10; V, 2-4, 24, 47, 53, 55, 58 ; VII, 63; VIII, 25, 45, 52). Kruta: 41, 89, 277, 348.
