SWITZERLAND - HELVETIC CONFEDERATION

(dal 1848)

La Svizzera si costituì in Confederazione nel 1848. Adottò il franco svizzero, allineato al franco francese nel 1850. Aderì all'Unione latina nel dicembre 1865. Rimase neutrale durante le due guerre mondiali e in seguito si arricchì grazie alle sue banche.
