SVIZZERA - REPUBBLICA DE BERNA
(1353-1798)
Berna aderì alla Riforma nel 1528. Sostenne Ginevra contro il duca di Savoia e occupò il Pays de Vaud nel 1536. Il governo era nelle mani del patriziato. La congiura di Hentzi, nel 1749, di essenza democratica è schiacciata nel sangue. I francesi conquistano il cantone di Berna il 5 marzo 1798.
