Droit complet mais un peu mou alors que le revers est de frappe vigoureuse. Patine sombre et légèrement granuleuse

Commento
Cette variété avec le buste barbu est beaucoup plus rare ; les poils de barbe sont bien visibles sur cet exemplaire, de même que le petit bouc torsadé au bout du menton. On notera l’annelet et la petite esse devant la bouche.
Au revers, la légende CRICIRV est complète entre les jambes du cheval, avec un annelet pointé au-dessus.

GALLIA BELGICA - SUESSIONES (Regione de Soissons)
(II - I secolo a.C.)
I Suession erano un importante popolo dei Belgi, confinato sull'Aisne nel territorio della provincia di Soissonnais. Avevano per vicini i Remi, i Lingones, i Senones, i Parisii, i Bellovaci e gli Ambiens.. Secondo Cesare, i due popoli Remes e Suessions, prima delle guerre galliche, avevano le stesse leggi e gli stessi capi. Avevano per clienti i Meldes, i Silvanectes ei Viromanduens. Diviciacos, uno dei loro re, avrebbe regnato fino alla Bretagna. Galba, il suo successore, comandò la coalizione dei belgi ribelli nel 57 a.C. -VS. con un contingente di cinquantamila uomini. I Suession ei loro alleati Bellovaci furono sconfitti. Galba dovette consegnare i suoi due figli come ostaggi ai romani. Fornirono un contingente di cinquemila uomini per l'esercito di soccorso nel 52 a.C. -VS. Furono posti sotto l'autorità dei Remes dopo questa data. Nel 51 a.C. -VS. , i membri della coalizione belga dovevano prima attaccare i Suessions. Governati da Corréos e Commios, i popoli belgi furono infine schiacciati dai romani. Il loro oppidum principale era Noviodunum (Soissons). Cesare (BG. II, 3, 4, 12, 13; VI, 35; VII, 75; VIII, 6). Kruta: 69.
