Ce genre d’obole correspond à une division de la drachme d’Emporia, mais aucun exemplaire n’aurait été trouvé en Espagne ; il s’agit plus vraisemblablement d’une innovation languedocienne, ce que semble suggérer sa diffusion dans l’Aude et jusqu’en Vaunage.
