Lancé au début 2010, ‘America the beautiful’ est un programme de frappe de 56 monnaies commémoratives de 1/4 dollar illustrant les parcs nationaux et d’autres sites nationaux des États-Unis d’Amérique.
Le Parc National Historique de Cumberland Gap (Cumberland Gap National Historical Park) est situé dans l’état du Kentucky. Le Cumberland Gap est un col de montagne culminant à 488 m d’altitude et constitue un passage naturel au centre de la chaîne montagneuse des Appalaches. Mise en valeur par Daniel Boone pour le compte de la Transylvania Company, cette cluse permit la colonisation du Kentucky et du Tennessee.
Launched in early 2010, 'America the Beautiful' is a program of 56 commemorative quarter dollar coins depicting the national parks and other national sites of the United States of America. Cumberland Gap National Historical Park is located in the state of Kentucky. The Cumberland Gap is a mountain pass at an elevation of 488 m and is a natural passage through the center of the Appalachian Mountains. Developed by Daniel Boone for the Transylvania Company, this pass enabled the settlement of Kentucky and Tennessee.
