Cronistoria

SIRIA - REGNO DI SIRIA - ANTIOCO VI DIONYSOS

(145-142 a.C.)

Antioco VI Dioniso, figlio di Alessandro Balas e Cleopatra Thea, fu proclamato re dal generale Diodoto per combattere contro Demetrio II. Antioco VI assassinato una volta da Diodoto nel 142 aC, si fece proclamare re col nome di Trifone (142-138 dC). Demetrio II fu catturato nel 140 a.C. dai Parti e gli succedette suo fratello Antioco VII Sidete. Cleopatra Théa si affrettò a sposarlo.
