Petits coups sur la tranche à quatre et douze heures au revers. Très bel exemplaire avec une faible usure sur les reliefs. Très agréable patine marron foncé

PRINCIPAUTY OF CHATEAU-REGNAULT - FRANCOIS OF BOURBON-CONTI
(1605-1614)
François de Bourbon nacque il 19 agosto 1558 al castello della Ferté-sous-Jouarre, da Luigi I ed Éléonore de Roye. Nel 1581 al Louvre, sposò prima Jeanne de Coëme (deceduta nel 1601) e, nel 1605 al castello di Meudon, in seconde nozze, Louise-Marguerite de Lorraine (1588-1631), figlia del duca di Guisa. È il primo duca di Conti e il primo principe sovrano. Senza discendenti (sua figlia Marie morì nel 1610, figlio illegittimo, Nicolas), il suo titolo passò al pronipote Armand, fratello del Grand Condé. Oppositore del duca di Guisa, scelse il campo di Henri de Navarre durante le guerre di religione. Nel 1589 firmò la dichiarazione dei principi che riconobbero Enrico IV. Accompagnò anche quest'ultimo nel 1590 nella battaglia di Ivry. Morì il 3 agosto 1614 a Parigi. François de Bourbon, Principe di Conti, è anche Principe di Château-Regnault grazie al suo matrimonio con Louise-Marguerite de Lorraine.
