Cronistoria

PONT - PHARNACIA

(II - I secolo a.C.)

La città fu fondata da Farnace I (185-149 dC), re del Ponto, nonno di Mitridate VI Eupatore, intorno al 180 aC sul sito dell'antica Cerasus. Era una città costiera fortificata. Perde la sua importanza al tempo della conquista romana.
