André Maginot est un homme politique français, né le 17 février 1877 à Paris, où il est mort le 7 janvier 1932. Plusieurs fois ministre, son nom est associé à la construction, entre les deux guerres mondiales, de la ligne de défense censée protéger la France d'une éventuelle invasion allemande ou italienne.
