Il est très plausible que cet exemplaire fut l’un des premiers frappés et ait servi à confirmer la validité des coins et flans. Malheureusement, il est rigoureusement identique, sauf son pedigree, au million d’autres exemplaires.

Le Marchesi, Touamotou, Société, Gambier, Australs e Wallis e Futuna formarono l'Oceania francese o Stabilimenti francesi dell'Oceania, che divenne territorio d'oltremare nel 1946. In seguito al decreto del marzo 1957, i francesi L'Oceania diventa la Polinesia Francese.
