Commento

Un ancêtre homonyme de notre personnage est cité en 1543 “François de Raisse, sieur de la Hargerie, maître d'hôtel ordinaire de notre hôtel”.
L'église Saint-Jean-en-Grève, reconstruite au XIVème siècle fut détruite entre 1797 et 1800, vendue comme carrière de pierre par les révolutionnaires. Elle était située derrière l'Hôtel de Ville et devant l'église Saint-Gervais Saint-Protais. On y accédait par l'arcade Saint-Jean.
A namesake ancestor of our character is cited in 1543 as “François de Raisse, lord of la Hargerie, ordinary head waiter of our hotel”. The church of Saint-Jean-en-Grève, rebuilt in the 14th century, was destroyed between 1797 and 1800, sold as a stone quarry by the revolutionaries. It was located behind the Town Hall and in front of the church of Saint-Gervais Saint-Protais. It was accessed through the Saint-Jean arcade.
