Aspendos, situata a dodici chilometri dalla vetta di Eurymedon, era un grande centro economico e aveva un grande porto sulla costa. Aspendos rimase fedele ai persiani fino all'arrivo di Alessandro Magno e gli resistette prima di essere presa nel 333 a.C.. Aspendos appartenne al regno di Pergamo tra il 189 e il 133 a.C..
