Agréable petit denier sur un flan court, avec un argent corné ou cristallisé. Le droit est complet mais sans la légende. Le revers est un peu décentré avec la légende hors ou en bord de flan. Patine grise

Commento

Sur un flan court et presque quadrangulaire, ce denier peut néanmoins être complété par les types de droit et de revers du denier bmv_329452 qui est exactement du même type.
Ce dernier présentait une conservation hors du commun, mais était resté inclassable. La légende MAV du revers, si tant est qu’il s’agisse de l’atelier, pourrait orienter une attribution vers MAVGONACVM, MAVRIACUM, MAVRIENNA, MAVRILIACVM ou MAVREGONNA. Il est peu probable que MAV soit le début de MAVRINVS, monétaire à Poitiers et Orléans (le style étant très différent).
On a short and almost quadrangular flan, this denarius can nevertheless be supplemented by the obverse and reverse types of the denarius bmv_329452 which is exactly the same type. The latter presented an unusual preservation, but had remained unclassifiable. The legend MAV on the reverse, if it is indeed the mint, could direct an attribution towards MAVGONACVM, MAVRIACUM, MAVRIENNA, MAVRILIACVM or MAVREGONNA. It is unlikely that MAV is the beginning of MAVRINVS, minted in Poitiers and Orléans (the style being very different)
