Descrittivo diritto : Écu couronné aux armes de Louis-François-Anne de Neufville sur un manteau d’hermines, entouré des colliers des ordres.
Rovescio
Descrittivo rovescio : Écusson ovale aux armes de la Ville, placé sur un cartouche, soutenu par les figures allégoriques nues et assises du Rhône et de la Saône laissant échapper l’eau de leurs urnes. Palmes à l’exergue.
Commento
Attribution selon Tricou, Jetons armoriés, Lyon, 1947, p. 139, n° 98 et pl.IV. Coins de droit et de revers différents du jeton précédent. Ces attributions restent très incertaines mais Tricou, op. cit. p. 139 indique pour le duc de Retz “l’azur du champ est indiqué par des hachures, le collier du Saint-Esprit est orné de H au lieu de L couronnées, il n’y a pas d’armoiries sur le revers du manteau, etc..” La famille de Neufville de Villeroy d’Alincourt porte d’azur au chevron d’or accompagné de trois croisettes ancrées du même. Louis-François-Anne de Neufville, né à Versailles en octobre 1695, est le fils aîné de Louis-Nicolas et de Marguerite Le Tellier. Il obtient différents offices et charges en survivance de son père puis en titre à la mort de ce dernier en 1734, notamment gouverneur et lieutenant-général de Lyon et des provinces de Lyonnais, Forez et Beaujolais dont il démissionne en 1763 pour son neveu Gabriel-Louis-François. Marié à Marie-Renée de Montmorency-Luxembourg, il meurt sans postérité en 1766.

These attributions remain very uncertain but Tricou, op. cit. p. 139 indicates for the Duke of Retz “the azure of the field is indicated by hatching, the collar of the Holy Spirit is decorated with H instead of crowned L, there is no coat of arms on the reverse of the coat, etc.” The Neufville de Villeroy d'Alincourt family wears azure with a golden chevron accompanied by three crosslets anchored with the same. LYONNAIS (GOUVERNEURS DU...)
I governi, le divisioni militari e politiche del regno erano dodici nel XVI secolo, erano trentanove nel 1776, di cui diciotto di prima classe (Piccardia, Fiandre, Normandia, Lorena, Borgogna, ecc.) e venti- una seconda classe (Boulonnais, Artois, Berry, Auvergne, ecc.). I governatori, figure importanti durante le guerre di religione ea volte pericolosi rivali del potere, videro i loro poteri sminuiti dalla regalità, in particolare da Enrico IV o da Richelieu. Luigi XIV ridusse il loro esercizio a tre anni e lasciò loro solo gli onori, mentre gli intendenti esercitavano sul campo la realtà del potere. I governi tuttavia continuarono a trasmettersi nelle grandi famiglie: Condé in Borgogna, Lussemburgo in Normandia, ecc..
