Taras CHETCHENKO fut d’abord peintre , puis poete connu par son recueil de poésie KOBZAR dont le titre apparaît au dos du livre, enfin son action politique et sociale en vue de la libérations des serf avec lui valut de graves démêlé avec la politique impériale..
