John Stuart Mill (1806-1873) est un philosophe, logicien et économiste britannique. Penseur libéral parmi les plus influents du xixe siècle, il est un partisan de l'utilitarisme, une théorie éthique préalablement exposée par Jeremy Bentham, dont Mill propose sa compréhension personnelle.
This is the first example of an edition of 100 medals. John Stuart Mill (1806-1873) was a British philosopher, logician, and economist. One of the most influential liberal thinkers of the 19th century, he was a proponent of utilitarianism, an ethical theory previously expounded by Jeremy Bentham, of which Mill offered his own personal understanding.
