George Gordon Byron, 6e baron Byron, généralement appelé Lord Byron, est un poète britannique, né le 22 janvier 1788 à Londres et mort le 19 avril 1824 à Missolonghi, en Grèce, alors sous domination ottomane. Il est l'un des plus illustres poètes de l'histoire littéraire de langue anglaise.
