L’étude de cette série semble avoir été largement négligée. Bien que ce potin soit assez rare, il en existe de nombreuses variétés. Celui-ci est particulièrement stylisé.

I Leuques sono menzionati solo una volta nelle guerre galliche. I loro vicini erano i Médiomatriques, i Lingons ei Séquanes. I Leuques così come i Séquanes ei Lingones fornirono grano a Cesare quando l'esercito romano si fermò a Vesontio (Besançon) per fare rifornimento prima di affrontare i Germani di Ariovistus (58 a.C.). Cesare (BG. I, 40).
