Le droit de notre pièce est très proche de celui, attribué aux Samnagenses, de MONNAIES II, n° 107. Semble de mêmes coins que l’exemplaire de MONNAIES II (n° 107).

Gli Elisi sono un piccolo popolo della regione di Narbonne, di origine iberica il cui oppidum potrebbe essere identificato con Ensérune. Ci è noto per una menzione di Erodoto, "il padre della Storia", il quale indica che mercenari gallici (Élysiques) avrebbero prestato servizio nell'esercito cartaginese nel 480 a.C., al tempo dell'assedio dell'Himera (Sicilia). Fonti: Erodoto (H. VII, 165).
