Commento
Les timbres-monnaies du Crédit Lyonnais sont de loin les plus courants. Seize variétés ont été recensées en fonction du positionnement de certaines lettres entres elles, en fonction du texte inscrit sous “CREDIT LYONNAIS” ainsi que les inscriptions du revers visibles ou non en transparence sur l’avers. Il existe aussi différentes couleurs pour le fond : rouge, rose, vermillon, orange, jaune, bleu et blanc.

I francobolli sono valute di necessità che sono state utilizzate per integrare la fallimentare circolazione monetaria in monetazione. I primi francobolli monetari apparvero nel secondo trimestre dell'anno 1920. Il brevetto di fabbricazione dei francobolli monetari (FYP) è datato 19 marzo 1920. La produzione sembra essere durata circa tre anni. I francobolli da 5 centesimi a 35 centesimi sono stati utilizzati per realizzare francobolli monetari. Il 35 centesimi viola è molto raro ed è stato poco utilizzato. Troviamo soprattutto sui francobolli valutari i valori di 5 e 10 centesimi. Le stampe, ad eccezione di quelle del Crédit Lyonnais, sono molto basse, ma non possono essere inferiori a 1.000 monete. Non furono mai riconosciute dall'amministrazione e furono messe in circolazione su iniziativa di ditte private, mezzo pubblicitario e al tempo stesso moneta sostitutiva per sostituire le monete divisionali mancanti o tesaurizzate..
