Commento

The annual membership fee to the Cordeliers Club was 24 sols, the equivalent of a skilled worker's daily wage. While the club's membership was typically Parisian and popular, its management was in the hands of wealthy bourgeois and revolutionaries such as Georges Danton (1759-1794), who founded the club with Marat.
