Descrittivo diritto : Tête géométrique à gauche, l’œil figuré par un gros annelet ; bourrelet périphérique.

Commento
Avec une si belle tête à gauche et ce type de revers, ce potin est très rare ; il correspond au type 131-1 du Van Arsdell (qui est nettement moins beau) et il manque au BIAC.

Le prime menzioni dei Cantii risalgono alla fine del II secolo aC Essi diedero il nome al Kent. In stretta relazione con il continente, la monetazione inizierebbe nei primi anni del I secolo aC Cesare li considerava il più evoluto dei popoli dell'isola di Britannia (BG. V, 13 e 14). Durante la sua campagna in Britannia Cesare aveva combattuto Casivellauno che aveva inviato messaggeri ai quattro re allora regnanti nel Kent (BG, V, 22). Dubnovellaunos, citato con Tincommio fu cliente re di Roma, al tempo di Augusto, citato nelle Res Gestæ (RG. XXXII).
