Exemplaire sur un petit flan bien centré au droit avec une frappe légèrement molle sur le trépied, tréflée sur la légende. Frappe au revers laissant apparaître la plus grande partie du grènetis incus avec un fort relief. Recouvert d’une épaisse patine grise de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés

(510-480 a.C.)
Crotone è una colonia achea fondata nel 710 aC Sotto la guida di Milone, i Crotoniati conquistarono Sibari e la distrussero. Nel secolo successivo, a seguito di lotte intestine, la città decadde prima di cadere nelle mani di Dionisio di Siracusa nel 378 aC, poi di Agatocle nel 296 aC ed infine tra quelle di Pirro nel 277 aC. Fu conquistata dai romani durante la seconda guerra punica dopo la battaglia di Canne del 216 a.C.
