Commento
It was necessary at all costs to confound the league of European powers raised against France and finally obtain rest and peace. Savoy first extended its hand to our overwhelmed homeland, and the four treaties concluded in 1697, at Ryswick, made Holland, Spain, England and the emperor lay down their arms. Also, satisfied Burgundy represented, in the form of birds, its three Orders soaring in the wake of its governor towards the monarchical star which shines in the heavens
