Exemplaire attribué au président du comité international des expositions Alphonse Dunant (1869-1942). Diplomate, il fut ministre de Suisse à Berlin, Paris, Bruxelles, Rome ou encore Buenos Aires.
Le Bureau International des Expositions est fondé à Paris en 1928, et compte aujourd'hui 170 États membres. Alphonse Dunant en fut un des premiers présidents.

Cronistoria
BELGIQUE - ROYAUME DE BELGIQUE - RÈGNE DE LÉOPOLD III
(17/12/1934-21/9/1944-16/7/1951)
Figlio di Alberto I e pronipote di Leopoldo II, Leopoldo III divenne re in seguito alla morte accidentale del padre. Nel 1936, di fronte alle minacce di guerra, pose fine all'alleanza con la Francia e riaffermò la neutralità del Belgio. Nel 1940, durante l'invasione tedesca, prese il comando dell'esercito ma fu presto costretto a firmare una resa incondizionata. Prigioniero di guerra, rifiutò ogni collaborazione e cessò ogni attività politica. Portato in Germania poi liberato dagli Alleati, si ritirò in Svizzera mentre una reggenza fu affidata al fratello, il principe Carlo (21 settembre 1944). Molto criticato, riconquistò il trono nel 1950 dopo un referendum sulla ripresa dei suoi poteri. Accolto da scioperi e manifestazioni, nominò poi Baudoin "principe reale" poi abdicò in suo favore nel luglio 1951. Morì nel 1983.
