Commento
Semble de même coin de droit que l’exemplaire du Kunsthistorisches Museum de Vienne (NSSCA., n° 99, pl. 12). Le coin de revers n’est pas identifié, mais est proche de l’exemplaire du Cabinet des médailles de la Bibliothèque nationale de France (NSSCA., n° 100, pl. 12). Début de cassure de coin perceptible au niveau du nez. Coin bouché au revers dans la couronne. Semble complètement inédit et non répertorié avec la lettre E sur l’amphore couchée. Manque aux ouvrages consultés.
Appears to have the same obverse die as the copy in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna (NSSCA., no. 99, pl. 12). The reverse die is not identified, but is close to the copy in the Cabinet des médailles of the Bibliothèque nationale de France (NSSCA., no. 100, pl. 12). The beginning of a die break is visible at the nose. The die is blocked on the reverse in the crown. Appears to be completely unpublished and not listed with the letter E on the recumbent amphora. Missing from the consulted works

Gli Ateniesi furono sconfitti a Crannon nel 322 aC Demostene si suicidò per non essere consegnato ad Antipatro. Dopo questa data, Atene è sopravvissuta solo grazie al suo passato prestigio. Cassandro conquistò Atene nel 317 a.C. e stabilì un regime oligarchico. Seguì le sorti della Macedonia fino alla sconfitta di Perseo nel 168 aC Durante la guerra contro Mitridate, Silla assediò la città che si arrese nell'86 aC..
