Premier millésime de cette série qui se prolonge jusqu’en 1722. Ce jeton est le tout premier frappé pour la fondation des “Filles-Madame” du Rethélois. Ces jetons étaient distribués le jour de l’Assemblée générale du 25 août, jour de la Saint-Louis, tenue à Paris en l’hôtel de Nevers-Gonzague. Selon l’article cent de la fondation, “veulent mesdits Seigneur et Dame, qu’à la fin de ladite assemblée soient présentez à chacun desdists Sieurs trois Présidens, & trois Gens du Roy qui y assisteront, six livres de bougie ; trois de cire blanche, & trois de cire rouge ; & une bourse de velours vert, dans laquelle seront cinquante getons d’argent forgez aux armoiries & devises de mesdits Seigneur & Dame Fondateurs, & après leur décès de Messieurs leurs Successeurs : & aux autres cy-devant nommez, une bourse de satin vert, avec cent getons de cuivre, estant forgez comme dit est aux armoiries de mesdits Seigneurs ; & six livres de bougie ; trois de blanche & trois de rouge : & en outre sera baillé à celuy de Messieurs les Administrateurs qui aura trouvé bon de prendre la peine de voir les procès verbaux, & contracts de mariage, & d’en faire le rapport pardevant Messieurs les Commissaires, & aux deux du Conseil de mesdists Seigneur & Dame (...) et à leurdit procureur qui pareillement y aura assisté (...) & audit receveur (...) & autant à leur procureur. Et pour le regard du greffier (...). Et pour renouveller tous les ans la pile des getons, si besoin est, sera fait estat de trois écus trente sols.” Selon ce texte fondateur, on peut estimer que chaque année étaient distribués trois cents jetons d’argent et six cents jetons de cuivre.
First vintage of this series which continues until 1722. This token is the very first struck for the “Filles-Madame” foundation of Rethélois. These tokens were distributed on the day of the General Assembly of August 25, Saint Louis Day, held in Paris at the Hôtel de Nevers-Gonzague. According to article one hundred of the foundation, \\\"my said Lord and Lady want that at the end of the said assembly be presented to each of the said Sirs three Presidents, and three of the King's Men who will attend, six pounds of candles; three of white wax, and three of red wax; and a green velvet purse, in which will be fifty silver getons forged with the coats of arms and mottoes of my said Lord and Lady Founders, and after their death of Sirs their Successors: and to the others previously named, a green satin purse, with one hundred copper getons, being forged as said is with the coats of arms of my said Lords; and six pounds of candles; three of white and three of red: and in addition will be given to the one of the Sirs the Administrators who will have seen fit to take the trouble to see the minutes, and marriage contracts, and to make the report before the Sirs the Commissioners, and to the two of the Council of my said Lord and Lady (. . . ) and to their said attorney who will also have attended (. . . ) & said receiver (. . . ) & as much to their attorney. And for the clerk's gaze (. . . ). And to renew the pile of getons every year, if necessary, a statement of three crowns and thirty sols will be made.. \\\"According to this founding text, it can be estimated that each year three hundred silver tokens and six hundred copper tokens were distributed.
