Cronistoria

ÉGYPTE - ROYAUME D'ÉGYPTE - FAROUK

(1936-1952)

Farouk (1920-1952), figlio di Fouad I, succedette al padre nel 1936 come re d'Egitto e Sudan. Il 20 gennaio 1938 sposò Safinaz Zulficar (1921-1988) che prese il nome di Farida e dalla quale ebbe tre figlie. Divorziò nel 1948 e sposò nel 1951 Narriman Sadek (1934) che gli diede un figlio, Fouad II, nato nel 1952. Abdicò nel 1952 in favore del figlio Fouad II che fu deposto il 18 giugno 1953.
