Descrittivo diritto : Buste diadémé à droite, le bout du diadème se confondant avec le manteau.

Rovescio

Titolatura rovescio : GVNDOMEREM.

Descrittivo rovescio : Croix ancrée, soudée sur une base, le pied accosté de deux globules ; légende circulaire.

Commento

Le M et l’E de GVNDOMEREM sont ligaturés. GVNDOMERES est l’un des trois monnayeurs qui auraient frappé des triens de Thésée. La position des globules du revers est différente sur l’exemplaire dessiné dans le Belfort.
Dans le Prou, ce triens est classé dans la grande et vague série des "ateliers incertains" ; il n'est pas illustré. En se basant sur le Belfort, il n'existerait que trois monnaies différentes attribuées à Thésée. Notre exemplaire se rapproche du seul type de triens répertorié pour le monnayeur GVNDOMERES. La légende proposée est d'ailleurs emprunte de prudence ; "+ IHSSIACO ou MISSIACO ?". Au regard de notre exemplaire, la bonne lecture semble être + IHSSIACO ou INSSIACO.
The M and E of GVNDOMEREM are ligatured. GVNDOMERES is one of three minters who are said to have struck triens of Theseus. The position of the globules on the reverse is different on the example drawn in the Belfort. In the Prou, this triens is classified in the large and vague series of \\\"uncertain mints\\\"; it is not illustrated. Based on the Belfort, there would only be three different coins attributed to Theseus. Our example is close to the only type of triens recorded for the minter GVNDOMERES. The proposed legend is also cautious: \\\"+ IHSSIACO or MISSIACO?\\\". In light of our example, the correct reading seems to be + IHSSIACO or INSSIACO
