TESSALIA - GYRTON

Gyrton si trovava vicino al fiume Peneios e alla mitica fondazione della città da Phlegyas figlio di Ares, re della leggendaria tribù Lapith. Era anche il padre di Ixion e Koronis, madre di Asclepio. La città fu alleata di Atene durante la guerra del Peloponneso.
