I Mirdasidi discendono da un'antica tribù araba di Aleppo, i Kilab. Questa dinastia governò nell'XI secolo tra AH. 423 e AH. 472. Shibl al-Dawla Nasr I succede ad Asad al-Dawla Salih, fondatore della dinastia (AH. 414-. 420).
