Commento

With this volume, the work of enhancing the numismatic heritage held in Tuscan museums continues. After publishing several volumes on the specimens preserved in Florence, it is now the turn of the National Archaeological Museum in Arezzo.
The first book of this famous institution sees the publication of one of the coins that has always fascinated scholars from all over the world, that of Republican Rome. The oldest specimens, i.e. the cast series, are preserved here. The treatment closes with the earliest silver specimens, minted after Rome had made contact with southern Italy. The book was realised by scholars Dr. Niccolò Daviddi and Dr. Francesco Paratico, with the contribution of Dr. Fiorenzo Catalli, thanks to the foresight of officials Dr. Stefano Casciu and Dr. Maria Gatto, respectively Regional Directorate National Museums Tuscany and Director of the National Archaeological Museum in Arezzo.
