Diritto
Titolatura diritto : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Descrittivo diritto : Fleur formée d’un globule central entouré de trois lunules, avec deux globules sous chaque lunule.
Rovescio
Titolatura rovescio : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Descrittivo rovescio : Croix bouletée au centre, formée de quatre cantons, chacun ornés d’une lunule ; une hache à gauche au 3e canton.
Commento
Bien que G. Savès ne les signale pas, il existe au moins deux variantes pour ce type de drachme ; selon qu'il y a ou non des globules au revers devant la hache. Sur cet exemplaire, le manche est bouleté et il y a trois globules en bord de flan devant la hache.

GALLIA - SUDOVESTE DELLA GALLIA - SOTIATES (Regione di Sos)

I Sotiates o Sontiates abitavano il sud-ovest dell'attuale dipartimento di Lot-et-Garonne, così come parte del Gers e delle Landes, e si trovavano tra gli Elusates e i Nitiobroges. Il loro oppidum era Sos. Se il popolo dei Soziati non è esso stesso menzionato nei Commentari, lo è Adietuanus, il loro capo (BG. III, 22). Quest'ultimo fu presentato da Publio Licinio Crasso, luogotenente di Cesare, figlio di Crasso che sarebbe morto nel 53 aC nella battaglia di Carre, peraltro con il figlio. Adietano si sarebbe arreso al luogotenente di Cesare solo dopo la capitolazione di Sos, capitale del suo popolo. Unendosi ai romani, il capo soziato ricevette il titolo di "Rex". Fonti: Cesare (BG.
