Cette société dont la durée de vie est de 140 années, changera à plusieurs reprise l'aspect de ces jetons. Ce travail fait l'historique des jetons de présence de la Société d'agriculture de Carcassonne en reprenant les éléments publiés dans un précédent travail pour tout ce qui est de l'aspect fonctionnel du jeton. Une partie abordant le côté numismatique permet de compléter l'évocation de cette pratique du jeton aujourd'hui tombée en désuétude dans nos sociétés savantes. ”.
