Commento

In the 16th century, two types of secretaries to the king were distinguished: those of the grand college, serving in the chancellery of France, whose official title was \\\"secretaries to the King, household, crown of France and finances\\\", and those of the petit college serving in the secondary chancelleries born from the dismemberment of the grand chancellery. This token, struck under Henry III, belongs to the first body.
