Commento

On doit noter que ce buste est plutôt daté de 1719 et que la date du revers est donc immobilisée.
En 1680, le Mercure Galant donnait l'explication suivante de ce revers: "Cela fait voit que, comme les abeilles s'attachent toujours à suivre leur roy, les secrétaires de Sa Majesté sont prests en tout temps de recevoir les ordres de ce grand prince, qui est, en quelque façon, le chef de leur compagnie" (Mercure Galant, mars 1680).
It should be noted that this bust is rather dated 1719 and that the date of the reverse is therefore fixed. In 1680, the Mercure Galant gave the following explanation for this reverse: \\\"This shows that, as bees always strive to follow their king, His Majesty's secretaries are ready at all times to receive orders from this great prince, who is, in a way, the head of their company\\\" (Mercure Galant, March 1680)
