Louis Néel (1904-2000) est un physicien français. Il s'intéresse aux propriétés magnétiques de la matière à partir de 1938. Il est notamment à l'origine des découvertes de l'antiferromagnétisme et du ferrimagnétisme pour lesquelles il sera lauréat du prix Nobel de physique de 1970.
Louis Néel (1904-2000) was a French physicist. He became interested in the magnetic properties of matter from 1938. He was notably responsible for the discoveries of antiferromagnetism and ferrimagnetism, for which he was awarded the 1970 Nobel Prize in Physics.
