Diritto

Commento
Les trois globules dans la légende du revers correspondent à la croix bouletée qui orne le sommet du diadème. La croix du revers est censée être fichée sur le globe ; A. de Belfort précise dans sa description que "le graveur a omis de faire figurer la fiche sur son dessin". Ce triens semble manquer au Prou qui, pour Saint-Denis, n'a que les monnaies de ce monnayeur avec la légende CATVLLACO au droit.
Ce triens est attribué à Saint-Denis et plus précisément au monétaire Ebregiselvs. Selon Ponton D'Amécourt, à qui ce triens aurait appartenu, cette monnaie a été frappée peu après 634 et le coin a été gravé par un artiste venu d'Austrasie (D'Amécourt, Ann., t. VIII, p. 254). L'origine mentionnée serait la collection Dassy (de Meaux), dispersée en 1869, qui contenait un certain nombre de monnaies de communes comme Créteil, Lieusaint, Saint-Denis, Beauvais, Senlis, Etampes, Arpajon, Palaiseau, Le Pecq....
The three globules in the legend on the reverse correspond to the bouleté cross which adorns the top of the diadem. The cross on the reverse is supposed to be fixed on the globe; A. de Belfort specifies in his description that \\\"the engraver omitted to include the plate on his drawing\\\". This triens seems to be missing from the Prou which, for Saint-Denis, only has the coins of this minter with the legend CATVLLACO on the obverse. SANCTI DIONYSII - SAINT-DENIS (Seine-Saint-Denis)
(VII - VIII secolo)
Fu lì, intorno al 250, che fu sepolto Denis, primo vescovo di Parigi e martire. Intorno al 475, Santa Geneviève ampliò il mausoleo che si ergeva sopra la tomba di Denis. Nel VII secolo, sotto il regno di Dagoberto I, il santuario fu dotato di numerosi privilegi che favorirono lo sviluppo di un'abbazia. La basilica viene scelta come luogo di sepoltura da Dagoberto e dalla sua famiglia. Divenne così un importante centro merovingio di cui la regina Bathilde fece un monastero nel 650. Sappiamo anche che le prime fiere furono create nel 634 con la fiera di Saint-Denis da Dagoberto I. La maggior parte di queste fiere sono fiere del vino. Il vino viene venduto a commercianti stranieri in cambio dei loro prodotti fabbricati. A circa 400 metri a sud-ovest della basilica si trovava un cimitero merovingio dipendente dalla chiesa di Saint-Marcel; una sepoltura nel terreno conteneva monete.
