Petit bronze frappé sur un flan un peu court, avec un penon de coulée. Droit de frappe molle, mais très beau revers avec une patine vert foncé

Titolatura diritto : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Descrittivo diritto : Buste à droite, la joue très marquée ; un collier perlé et un torque au cou ; la chevelure surmontée de gros globules.
Rovescio
Titolatura rovescio : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Descrittivo rovescio : Cheval bondissant à gauche, la crinière perlée ; un annelet pointé surmonté de trois petits astres au-dessus du cheval et deux annelets pointés sous le cheval.
Commento
Ces petits bronzes sont assez courants mais très diversifiés, avec des combinaisons d’avers et de revers des deux côtés.
Cet exemplaire, du type classique avec avers à droit et revers à gauche est dans un très bel état, surtout au revers !.

GALLIA BELGICA - REMI (Regione di Reims)
(II - I secolo a.C.)
I Remi furono uno dei popoli più potenti della Gallia e fedeli alleati dei Romani. Il territorio dei Rèmes si estendeva sull'attuale Champagne, lungo l'Aisne. Avevano per vicini gli Atuatuci, i Treveri, i Mediomatrici, i Lingoni, i Suessioni, i Bellovaci ei Nerviani. Denunciarono a Cesare la coalizione dei popoli belgi del 57 aC che comprendeva i Suessioni che condividevano le stesse leggi e gli stessi magistrati. Il loro oppidum principale era Bibrax. La capitale della civitas in epoca gallo-romana era Durocortorum (Reims). Cesare (BG. II, 3-5, 7, 12; III, 11; V, 3, 24, 53, 54, 56; VI, 4, 12, 44; VII, 63, 90; VIII, 6, 11) . Strabone (G. IV, 3, 5). Kruta: 70, 313-314, 366.
