Cronistoria

PORTUGAL -MARIE II

(1834-1853)

Maria II (1819-1851) era figlia di Pietro IV del Portogallo e I del Brasile (1798-1834). Succedette allo zio Miguel (1802-1866) che abdicò in suo favore nel 1834. Suo padre infatti non regnò mai realmente sul Portogallo, rimanendo in Brasile. Si è sposata due volte. Dal suo secondo matrimonio ebbe Pierre V che le succedette nel 1853.
