This is the 7th medal in an edition of 100. Oliver Winchester (1810-1880) was an American politician, businessman, and engineer. He was the inventor, as head of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company, of rifles that bore his name (the best known being the Winchester Model 1873, or Gun that Won the West).
