(1848-1896 - AE 1265-1314)

Nasir ed-Din Shah, della dinastia Qajar era un monarca illuminato. Ha introdotto la Persia nell'era moderna. Si affidava a sua volta ai russi e agli inglesi, secondo i suoi interessi. Non poteva impadronirsi dell'Afghanistan nel 1857. Fondò molte scuole e mandò molti persiani a studiare in Francia. Finisce per essere assassinato.
