Ce denier est particulièrement intéressant ; si ce type de revers est assez rapidement classé à Paris, la croix du revers se distingue des autres monnaies de la série. Les triens de Paris ont deux types de croix ancrée (avec ou sans pendant), mais les denier semblent tous avoir une croix avec pendants.
Cet exemplaire en est dépourvu et une légende se devine au revers. Il est regrettable que les légendes soient partiellement hors flan, car la seule monnaie correspondante dans le Belfort (B. 4005) a la légende SCALA au droit et +VARINVSMO au revers, attribuée à l’Université de Paris.
This denier is particularly interesting; if this type of reverse is fairly quickly classified in Paris, the cross on the reverse stands out from the other coins in the series. The Paris triens have two types of anchored cross (with or without pendant), but the deniers all seem to have a cross with pendants. This example is without it and a legend can be seen on the reverse. It is regrettable that the legends are partially off-flan, because the only corresponding coin in the Belfort (B. 4005) has the legend SCALA on the obverse and +VARINVSMO on the reverse, attributed to the University of Paris
