Lete era nel territorio dell'Amphaxitis sopra Therma (Tessalonica), ma la città era poco importante nei tempi antichi ed è dubbio che potesse aver coniato. Tuttavia la città era posta sulla strada strategica che collegava Pangea alle miniere dell'entroterra..
