Commento

Poinçon illisible sur la tranche, peut-être une main. Philibert Delorme est né à Lyon en 1518. Présenté à Henri II par le cardinal Du Bellay, il fut chargé de nombreux travaux comme les châteaux de Meudon et St-Maur, Anet ou la cour de Fontainebleau. Il a laissé un “traité complet de l’art de bâtir”.
Illegible hallmark on the edge, possibly a hand. Philibert Delorme was born in Lyon in 1518. Introduced to Henry II by Cardinal Du Bellay, he was commissioned for numerous projects such as the castles of Meudon and St-Maur, Anet, and the courtyard of Fontainebleau. He left a “complete treatise on the art of building.”
