Commento
Marie-Thérèse Charlotte, duchesse d’Angoulême, est la seule survivante des enfants de Louis XVI et de Marie-Antoinette, grâce à son échange en 1795 contre des commissaires de la Convention aux mains des Autrichiens. Elle épouse en 1799 son cousin le duc d’Angoulême, fils aîné du comte d’Artois, futur Charles X. Elle est donc la nièce de Louis XVIII et du futur Charles X ainsi que sa bru.
Marie-Thérèse Charlotte, Duchess of Angoulême, is the only surviving child of Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette, thanks to her exchange in 1795 for commissioners of the Convention in the hands of the Austrians. In 1799, she married her cousin the Duke of Angoulême, eldest son of the Count of Artois, the future Charles X. She is therefore the niece of Louis XVIII and the future Charles X as well as his daughter-in-law.
