Cette drachme provient de la collection personnelle de G. Savès et du trésor de Béziers découvert en 1871 (acquise parmi les 37 monnaies de la collection Charra - cf. Savès page 97)

Descrittivo rovescio : Croix bouletée au centre, formée de quatre cantons, chacun ornés d’une lunule ; un œil de face au 2e canton et une oreille au 3e.
Commento
La variété 1 de cette série VII est caractéristique par seulement deux motifs en opposition au revers.
Comme pour la monnaie S. 302, cette drachme est frappée avec un coin de droit très usé et un coin de revers presque neuf !.
Variety 1 of this Series VII is characterized by only two opposing motifs on the reverse. As with the S. 302 coin, this drachma is struck with a very worn obverse die and an almost new reverse die!

Questo popolo che occupava la maggior parte dei dipartimenti dell'Aude e dell'Hérault non è menzionato né da Tolomeo, né da Strabone, né da Cesare. La loro monetazione ci è nota solo dai tesori di Béziers (Hérault) scoperti nel 1871 e che contenevano tra 750 e 800 monete di stile Languedoc così come quello di Moussan nell'Aude, scoperto nel 1967 e che conteneva 28 dracme di stile " Linguadoca".
