Commento
Ce potin est particulièrement stylisé ; les têtes janiformes sont limitées à deux gros croissants. Au revers le sanglier est simplifié en forme de pont et la légende a presque disparu. Cet exemplaire est intéressant cependant, car au revers le delta est bien visible sous le sanglier, rappelant le DT 3263 au droit pourtant bien moins stylisé.

This example is interesting however, because on the reverse the delta is clearly visible under the boar, reminiscent of the DT 3263 on the right, although much less stylized.

Il territorio dei Lingons era molto vasto, a cavallo dell'attuale dipartimento dell'Alta Marna e parte della Côte d'Or, Yonne e Aube. La loro capitale si trovava a Langres. Erano circondati dai Sequani, dai Mandubi, dai Leuci, dai Remi, dai Suessioni, dai Senoni e dagli Edui. Era una delle più grandi civitas della Gallia. Langres, che ne ha conservato il nome, pare sia stato uno dei loro oppida. Alleati dei romani, non presero parte alla guerra. Gli Elvezi, durante la ritirata dopo la sconfitta di Bibracte, attraversarono il territorio di Lingon. E nel 52 a.C. non inviarono emissari, non si unirono alla rivolta e non parteciparono all'esercito di soccorso inviato a Vercingetorige. D'altra parte, nel 51 prima di J. - C., fornirono ai romani un contingente di cavalleria per combattere i Bellovachi ei belgi. Rimasero quindi fedeli all'alleanza romana. Sono citati più volte nei Commentari di Cesare. Cesare (BG. I, 26, 40; IV, 10; VI, 44; VII, 9, 63, 66; VIII, 11). Corta: 21.111, 184, 187, 201, 251.
