Flan étroit, épais et irrégulier, tout en restant lourd. Portrait fortement stylisé. Joli revers, légèrement stylisé. Très jolie patine vert olive. Légendes fortement corrompues des deux côtés

Commento

Les imitations de double maiorina restent rares pour Julien II. Sur cet exemplaire, le diadème perlé a été privilégié et barre le portrait de Julien. Le revers est moins stylisé en dehors de la légende, l’animal est néanmoins disproportionné et fait penser à une vache sacrée “indienne”.
Double maiorina imitations remain rare for Julian II. On this example, the pearl diadem was favored and bars the portrait of Julian. The reverse is less stylized apart from the legend, the animal is nevertheless disproportionate and reminiscent of an “Indian” sacred cow.
